If you know me at all from #Collect, you probably saw that since late last year I took on a leadership role at Freedom Cardboard. As one of the founding members, I know as well as anyone how much of a roller coaster it’s been. The site, really established when Beckett blew up their old message board, was a pure grassroots board, built (as the slogan says) by collectors for collectors. It’s been a great source for news, conversation and in the past, content.

The FCB Blog was a real strength for us, with regular hotlists from Phil Mason, prospect writing from JP Schwartz and podcasts with Chris Gilmore, Tim Elrashedy and myself. We’re bringing it all back. Tim is taking charge of the hotlist, a huge ask but a real core piece. This is something that any collector remembers from the old price guides. Tracking cards like stocks is undeniably fascinating and the hotlist is a great way to keep your finger on the pulse of the market. There’s also a new Roughed Up Podcast on it.

This stuff takes time but I’m really looking forward to increasing the value that the members at FCB can get from the site. There’s something special about this community and it’s going to be a fun ride.
